Hayle is in the crescent of St Ives Bay surrounded by three miles of golden soft sand stretching to Godrevy Lighthouse with panoramic views of St Ives, Carbis Bay and Godrevy Lighthouse.

This is a very popular location for holidays from hotels to self-catering with many facilities and a wide range of leisure activities only a short walk from the beach.

The Towans, Cornish for sand dunes, stand proud for all to see and are a rich source of wildlife and offer enjoyable coastal walks and fun for all the family.

This great beach offers scope for everyone from surfers to sunbathers, The beach is excellent for swimming, with shallow pools for younger children to paddle in and is Patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months, a secluded spot is always just minutes away. Godrevy Lighthouse, no longer manned, stands on a small island offshore and provided the inspiration for the novelist Virginia Woolf in her novel 'To the Lighthouse'.

The Hayle estuary stretches from Copperhouse to Lelant Saltings, It provides a haven and an invaluable feeding ground for many types of migratory birds each year including some rare ones.
